Bandito's Burritos is on the first floor of the parking garage on Holly Street; just remember that Holly is a one way street down the hill, and you can go wrong. Across from the US Bank.

Description:
If you’re on a budget and you want to get the full value of your dollar when it comes to Mexican food, look no further than Bandito’s Burritos. Tucked into the corner of a building on Holly Street, Bandito's appears to be made to order for the downtown lunch crowd. However, the sheer immensity of the burritos make it hard to believe anyone could consume a whole one for lunch.

The interior of Bandito's is bright and clean with large glass windows and hints of southwest U.S./Mexican décor. However, this is not the main attraction. It is the aforementioned gigantic burritos. There are certainly other items on the menu (Tacos and Quesadillas), but they seem more of an afterthought. The Jumbo is the recommended entry-level item on the menu. Burritos come with rice, red or black beans and salsa, but it is all conveniently wrapped in a shell for carry-out orders. If you're looking for an early morning pick-me-up, give the breakfast burritos a try. Breakfast burritos come in differing combinations of eggs, potatoes, beans and cheese mixed with a heart, sweet red salsa. Burritos are assembled in front of you by a young, friendly staff. Bandito's is also health conscious, using low-fat vegetarian beans, lean meats, low-fat dairy products and high-fiber rice. Also, Bandito's does not grill or deep fry any of its dishes so diners can eat well with a clear conscience.

Also noteworthy is the surprising selection of salsas which change daily with at least six offered on the table next to the counter. Examples include Fresh Red, Zesty Red, Kitchen Sink, Sweet Heat, Peanut Jalapeno, Garlic Lover’s and Punch Pineapple. Each comes rated Wimpy, Mild, Getting Warmer, Fire and Toxic. Also of interest is free delivery of burritos with a minimum $7 purchase.

Great tasting burritos and an absolutely incredible array in the salsa bar. Anyone who appreciates good salsa needs to check this place out. Five out of five stars.

It is impossible for me to leave there without getting at least 16 oz of their salsa to go. The salsa is a departure from most other mission style burritos joints I've visited, because mainly they don't use salt or vinegar (as far as I know). Because of this, the salsa has a lighter feel and it is easy to down 16oz in one sitting (with a burrito). You’re basically eating perfectly blended vegetables and herbs/garlic/chili powder etc (or fruit - my friend is hooked on Punchy Pina). They also have the best crew in town. I’ve been going there regularly for at least six years and am still hooked. Everytime my friends and I head out of town and try other burrito joints, from Santa Cruz to Manzanita – absence makes the stomach grow fonder.

These are better than what you might find on RailRoad Ave., but not by much. the advantage here is they have a multitude of sauces to mask the taste of the burrito

Excellent customer service, freindly, family atmosphere. Great, healthy food for around $5. Fun and energetic staff. Four and a half stars in my book.
