Coming from Fairhaven, take Harris Street east about 10 blocks and you will see the restaurant on your left.

Description:
Super Teriyaki opened next store to a mini-mart with bars on the window, in a part of town devoid of any other restaurants. Nearly hidden among apartment buildings and homes in Happy Valley, the restaurant has overcome all obstacles through word-of-mouth and "authentic Japanese cuisine at fast food price." It is now a bustling little place with busy cooks and people swirling in and out with take-out orders. There are also tables inside and a few places to sit outdoors.

Teriyaki and stir-fry dishes seem to be the most popular. The chicken katsu, a tenderized chicken fillet lightly breaded and deep fried until golden brown, comes with a choice of cold salad or stir-fried vegetables and steamed rice. It's flavorful and filling. House specialties are the "bento," which includes teriyaki chicken and beef, prawns and vegetable tempura, and a California Maki sushi roll. It is served with steamed rice and miso soup. If that is not enough, the reasonably priced "family party pack" can feed four people and comes with appetizers. Four kinds of tofu dishes are on the menu, from tofu stir-fry to tofu yakisoba. A teriyaki lunch special, including stir-fried vegetables and steamed rice, is available on the weekdays at a price close to what you might pay for a large coffee drink from a drive-through coffee stand.

There aren't any dessert items on the menu, but luckily the mini-mart next store works for those necessities. The restaurant is often busy, so it's best to call ahead if you plan to pick up an order. When it's nice outside, Super Teriyaki is a great place to grab some food to take to Boulevard Park and watch the sunset.

The place is great! It definately has the best teriyaki and chinese food in Bellingham. The portions are really big too for the price.

pretty dirty.. happy hour is the best. just don't get the California rolls during this time, they are cheap but aren't fresh.

I lived a block away in 2000. A friend worked there for a short while. The best Japanese food for miles at least. The mini-mart has everything from Wintergreen Extra to fruit-desired Mad Dog. Many thanks for the convenience and the owl lovng owners at the time.

This place is so much fun. The hot and sour soup is great and you get a ton of it. Near Western.
