Description:
Names can be deceiving. For example, the name of Lucci’s Bayshore Pizzeria doesn’t convey the full story of what they have to offer. Situated on Bellingham’s waterfront at the northern-most harbor, Lucci’s Bayshore Pizzeria serves up a wide array of cuisine, including seafood, meat-and-potato dishes and other standard American fare. But they have a penchant for Italian cuisine, as they are known for their delicious pizzas, salad and pasta dishes. Be warned: One may think that they have become The Godfather while partaking of Lucci’s Italian food, but this effect is only temporary and should wear off within a couple hours after the dining experience is complete.

Lucci’s also offers a maritime atmosphere that is second-to-none. The two-tiered restaurant overlooks the portion of the harbor that is primarily fishing boats and touring vessels. The downstairs portion of the restaurant is spanned by an impressive system of salt-water fish tanks that are connected by glass tubes allowing the sea life to mosey from tank-to-tank. The atmosphere is elegant, but not pretentious – a casual diner at Lucci’s is as common as the dressed-up couple on a date.

Lucci’s features a cozy circular bar, similar to that of Cheer’s fame. Again, one can expect eclectic clientele while sipping at the bar – salty fishermen, fisherwomen, elegant couples and Seattle Mariner fans catching the game on one of the televisions have all been known to pull up stools next to each other. Reservations are recommended but not required. Lucci’s Bayshore Pizzeria is located next to the Bellingham Yacht Club.

Coho is actually only a couple blocks after you turn onto Roeder from F street, not miles. A couple miles puts you all the way up the old truck route that is Squalicum to Meridian. Once you get there, it is very good.
